Children & Youth
We have many opportunities for Children and Young People to learn more about God, here’s what we have on offer.
Sunday Morning
Creche and Sunday School
Our Creche and Sunday School seeks to provide a safe and nurturing environment for your children, helping them to grow in partnership with their parents. Here’s what’s on offer during a regular Sunday morning:
Nursing mums – we have a room for nursing mums who can feed their little ones in peace and privacy with a live feed of the service. Just ask any of the Welcoming Team when you arrive and they can show you where it is.
Baby creche – for tots who can’t yet walk. Baby creche provides a safe and friendly environment – and lots of toys for your little ones to enjoy!
Toddler creche – once they’re on their feet we need a much much bigger space so there’s plenty of room to play and run around in a safe environment. We start our bible teaching here with simple stories, songs and bible verses.
Sunday School – for children from the age of 3-12ish or Primary 7! We meet together in two groups (3-5 and 6-12) for lively songs and to learn memory verses before we go into year group classes for bible teaching. We use a great curriculum which is full of fun and great Bible teaching.
From the 1st year of secondary school onwards young people stay in the morning service. Information about our programme for this age group can be found below.
The rest of the week
Rooted (S1-6) meet weekly, on a Sunday during term time, from 6:30pm until 8pm in the Stafford Room. We spend some time together playing games, enjoying one another’s company before breaking into small groups to study the bible and pray. We have a teaching programme that aims to cover multiple books and genres within the bible, investigating who Jesus Christ is and what He has done, applying it to our lives.
The teaching programme includes quarterly seminars that aim to help young people engage with contemporary topics from a Christian perspective.
On the final Sunday of each month Rooted gathers with the rest of the church family within the evening service. Our intention here is to show the young.
We have socials around the first Saturday of the month ranging from walks, movie nights and various fun activities around the city.
