Our Women’s & Men’s Ministry provides a varied programme across the year for all ages and stages of life.  You’re welcome to come along to any of our events listed to find out more

Men’s Ministry

The Men’s Fellowship is a group that meet together to enjoy fellowship, cultivate friendships and – from time to time – share lunch.  We welcome all men of all ages whether they are able to attend once or regularly.   We hear from a variety of SPEAKERS and these meetings generally alternate with our LIFE APPLICATION BIBLE STUDIES.

All meetings are at 10:30am on Fridays in Stafford Room 1 unless otherwise stated.  We gather from around 10:00am for tea and coffee.  You will be made most welcome at any of our meetings.  For more information on any of the following meetings please contact the Secretary, David Wilson, at tcdavid@blueyonder.co.uk.

6 SeptemberA Trip to the Holy Land: We kick off our year with an illustrated talk from Derek Nash, on his recent Holy Land trip.

13 SeptemberLife Application Bible Study: “Missing the Target” – (1) What is Sin?

20 SeptemberNazareth Hospital: We are back in Israel(!) where we will hear from Dr Morgan Jamieson, CE of Nazareth Hospital, about his experience of working in Israel.  Followed by an optional Soup & Sandwich Lunch.

27 September Life Application Bible Study: “Missing the Target” – (2) Sin of Pride.

4 OctoberSlavic Gospel Association: Our speaker, Derek Maxwell will share with us about the ministry of SGA, working in partnership with local churches across Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

11 OctoberLife Application Bible Study: “Missing the Target” – (3) Sin of Anxiety.

18 OctoberJohn Wesley – The Man & His Mission: We meet in the Candlish Room to view this DVD on the big screen.   With popcorn, crisps, nuts, etc, available throughout.

25 October Life Application Bible Study: “Missing the Target” – (4) Sin of Discontentment.

1 NovemberTeen Challenge: Teen Challenge: Our speaker, Colin Adam (Outreach Coordinator) will share how this organisation helps people of all ages overcome their life-controlling problems, through its rehabilitation centres in over 120 countries around the world.  Followed by an optional Lunch, per Menu.

8 NovemberLife Application Bible Study: “Missing the Target” – (5) Sin of Un-thankfulness.

15 NovemberSafe Families: We hear from Andrew Murray about how this organisation, driven by the love of Jesus, is involved in stabilising families at times of crisis.

22 NovemberLife Application Bible Study: “Missing the Target” – (6) Sin of Judgmentalism.

29 NovemberPractical Tools for Answering Tough Questions about Faith: Dr Andy Bannister, Director of the Solas Centre for Public Christianity, will share some practical tools we can use at work or among our friends who have questions about the Christian faith.  Whether it’s science, suffering, or sexuality, Andy will help equip us with ways to turn tough questions into Jesus-centred conversations.  Followed by an optional Soup & Sandwich Lunch.

6 December Christmas Lunch: A great opportunity to invite a friend as we meet in the Stafford Rooms for a great lunch together, provided by outside caterers.  A sign-up sheet with Menu and cost will be available on the Lower Level Notice Board in due course.

13 DecemberLife Application Bible Study: “Missing the Target” – (7) Sin of Frustration.

10 JanuaryMeet the Willsons: We will hear from our missionaries, Jonny and Penny Willson on how they have been serving the Lord in Asia.

17 January Life Application Bible Study: “Missing the Target” – (8) Sins of the Tongue – Gossiping.

24 JanuaryA Journey Through Narnia: Creation: We asked Dr Alistair Wilson, Lecturer in Mission and New Testament and Director of Postgraduate Studies  at Edinburgh Theological Seminary, to give a Christian perspective on C S Lewis and this is his topic of choice.  Followed by an optional Burns Lunch.

Women’s Ministry

Our Women’s Ministry seeks to challenge and encourage women to grow in their faith and become more Christ like through bible study.

Timeout – an all age bible study every Tuesday during term time with creche facilities for mums with tots.  We start 9.30am with tea & coffee.  Meeting starts at 10am and finish by 11am.   If you live in the outskirts of the city and would like to sign up for a different group contact rsloan@charlottechapel.org

Women’s Morning Fellowship – for a more traditional gathering, many of our older women meet on a Thursday morning at 10:30am during term time for fellowship, a talk, tea, coffee & refreshments.  All are welcome.
