Prayer

Prayer is a central part of our life as a church. It is the way we communicate with God.

Prayer happens in many different settings within Charlotte Chapel. Prayer is part of every Sunday service. Many different small groups meet for prayer. Individuals also spend time praying alone.

In prayer, we seek to:

  • Thank God for who he is and all that he has done for us.
  • Confess the things we have done wrong and ask for forgiveness.
  • Ask God about the things that concern us.

Prayer meeting

The whole church comes together regularly with the main focus on prayer. Prayers are shared for our church, our city and nation and our world. Sometimes there is a specific theme.

All are welcome. No-one has to pray out loud. God hears all our prayers, both spoken and unspoken.

Prayer meetings are on Wednesday evenings at 7.30 in Charlotte Chapel. Once a month there is a focus on our missionary family around the world.

Church at prayer

Once a month the evening service has a greater focus on prayer. Time is spent praising God in song, and there is always a short message from the Bible. Different groups bring news for prayer. Prayers are then encouraged in small groups or privately.
